Dr Thembeka Buleni started her career in dentistry shortly after she graduated in 2007 from Medical University of South Africa (Medunsa). In 2010, she started her own practice, Smilez Dental Surgery, where she continues nourishing her love for dentistry daily. She acquired her second degree in Master of Business Administration (MBA) in 2016. She majored in financial management and received a distinction.

She is a founder of Dental Practice Management Academy, focused on mentoring and coaching for Dentist. She is also a keynote speaker. She is a guest Dentist on the local TV show Wraak My Mooi, a cosmetic makeover shows on DSTV 147, where she improves the Dental appearance and smiles for the candidates. She is a runner-up candidate for the Health Excellence Mpumalanga Award and Dentist of the Year in 2019 and 2022.
She one of the winners of the Smart integration Awards 2021, innovative infection control & prevention category. Being the only representative in South Africa 🇿🇦 and Africa at large and being the first to win this category from Africa. She is an award winner of the Mpumalanga Health Excellence Award and Health Care Professional Mentor of the Year in 2023. She is a runner-up candidate for the Health Excellence Mpumalanga Award, Most Compassionate Healthcare Provider of the Year in 2023.
Her passion for dentistry & business management skills have enabled her to create a system that makes running a practice manageable and efficient. She is a Co-author of the book Life Business Minds, her topic is “ A heart for Dentistry and a mind for business “.

Angelique Kearney graduated as an Oral Hygienist at the University of Pretoria. She has been practicing with her husband, Dr Willem Kearney since 1994. She is one of two Oral Hygienists in the practice and is also the Practice Manager. Angelique has an Advanced University diploma in Practice Management from The University of Pretoria, which equips her well in her current position. She has furthered her studies and is registered at the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in Independent Private Practice. Angelique Kearney is the past Gauteng Branch Chair and the President of OHASA (Oral Hygienist`s Association of South Africa) and is currently a part-time lecturer and supervisor for the BOHSc students at Wits (University of the Witwatersrand). She has a passion for teaching and her profession and is busy with a part-time masters diploma in Health Science Education. Angelique always strives for Excellence and not perfection and lives her life by this motto.

Dr Nadine Moelich qualified as a dentist in 2000. After community service she joined private practice where she discovered that her passion lies with paediatric patients. She joined a paediatric practice in 2007 where she could dive into the work that she loves.
She obtained her Post-graduate Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry(UP) in 2016 and obtained her Masters Degree in Paediatric Dentistry (UP) in 2019 studying healthier sugar alternatives with less cariogenic potential . She is now based at the University of Pretoria as a Stomatologist and coordinator of the Paediatric Division within the Department of Odontology.
She is passionate about teaching and developing students’ skills.
In her free time, she loves to spend time with friends and family, she is a foodie and loves to travel!

Dr Yash Naidoo is a Dentolegal Consultant at MPS South Africa. He is a former healthcare and dispute resolution attorney, having practised at two of South Africa’s so-called Big Five law firms. Prior to starting his legal career, Yash qualified and practised as a dentist. While practising dentistry full-time in the public sector, he obtained his LLB from the University of South Africa cum laude.

His legal experience includes assisting private and public healthcare institutions in defending medical malpractice claims, assisting healthcare practitioners and institutions with proceedings before their regulators (HPCSA, AHPCSA, SAPC, and OHSC), advising clients in respect of South African healthcare regulations, and assisting foreign-qualified medical practitioners in obtaining registration with the HPCSA.

Yash joined MPS in August 2020 where has been assisting members with medicolegal matters, CPD presentations and articles, and relishes the opportunity to be involved in stakeholder engagements relating all things related to healthcare law and medicolegal.
