Dr. Jean van Lierop - Understanding Occlusion in Anterior Injection Moulding

Injection moulding has quickly become the treatment of choice in treating anterior aesthetics in a conservative and predictable manner. The long-term success of treatment is however dependent on the functional environment of the mouth and the habits of our patients. It is therefore critical to understand the patient's occlusion and the impact this will have on our treatment.

During this lecture, Dr. van Lierop will explore the fundamentals of occlusion and how this relates to our planning and design of our injection moulding cases. Topics include:

Dr Jean van Lierop (BChD, PDD, MSc)
Dr van Lierop is passionate about dentistry and he believes that every dentist has the ability to do great things. This passion has seen him complete his MSc in Restorative Dentistry and a PDD in Aesthetic Dentistry. He is a founding member and past president of The South African Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry (SAAAD), an ITI fellow, and co-founder of “The Bridge Program”. With a strong belief in the value of sharing knowledge, Dr van Lierop has presented numerous workshops and lectures to local and international colleagues throughout Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

Dr van Lierop believes in the power of modern adhesive techniques and advanced restoratives. Using modern materials in a minimally invasive approach to help restore a patient’s health and confidence. This allows him to follow a comprehensive treatment style where modern restorations and adhesive dentistry plays an integral role.
