Dentist with a special interest in Paediatrics

Dr. Coené Bezuidenhout is a dedicated paediatric dentist with a passion for treating dental issues in children from birth through adolescence. She completed her BChD with distinction (Cum Laude) in 2012 at the University of Pretoria, followed by postgraduate diplomas in Endodontics (2015) and Paediatric Dentistry (Cum Laude, 2023). She also obtained a Mastership in Laser Therapy in Dentistry (2020) from RWTH Aachen University.
Dr. Bezuidenhout is actively involved in undergraduate education at the University of Pretoria and is committed to advancing paediatric dental care. She offers Myobrace treatment at First Smiles and has a special interest in early intervention for airway and myofunctional issues. She has now enrolled in a postgraduate diploma in Orthodontics at the University of the Western Cape, further expanding her expertise in comprehensive dental care for children.

I'm Dr. Charl Kotzé.
I grew up living in Bloemfontein and completed high school at Grey College.
I graduated from the University of Pretoria in 2019 (Cum Laude).
Thereafter I did my community service year in Potchefstroom, where I observed Dr. Pieter Beukes in my free time.
He contributed to my love for microscopic dentistry and the use of rubberdam.
In 2021, I started working in private practice and in 2022 I completed my post graduate diploma in Endodontics at the University of Pretoria (Cum laude).
That same year I got the opportunity to purchase a dental operating microscope which opened a new world to me.
I'm currently working as a general dentist with a special interest in Endodontics.
