I have been in practice for 16 years. My experience includes treating employees on-site at 2 major corporates, working with a club rugby team and private practice in a multidisciplinary medical center.
Having had the chance to work with an organisation called Spine Care Partners (based in the US) and been part of the Primary Spine Provider Network (PSPN), my special interest centers around primary spine care and its integration into a family medicine model.
My approach is defined by a thorough history and patient empowerment. I enjoy tracking metrics like sleep, energy, recovery, focus and performance. Back pain, neck pain, headaches and other spine-related disorders play a big role in disability and impaired quality of life. Certain professions like Dentistry are especially prone to this due to the sustained positioning and high stress.
Education and engagement is something I really enjoy. Previous workshops have included a 2018 team building event with Colgate & SADA for young Dentists and a presentation at the 2022 OHASA congress for Oral Hygienists. I have had the pleasure of seeing several Dentists in practice over the years, and I can’t wait to present at the SADA Social Lecture Day!
