Originally from the Eastern Cape, Dr. Bekker returned to take over Dentists At Health Summerstrand in 2022.
He is currently Owner of Dentists At Heath Summerstrand.

Dr Bekker qualified at University of Pretoria in 2016 and continued to complete his postgraduate certificate in Oral Implantology the following year. He later obtained 3 more postgraduate diplomas, Prosthodontics at the University of Pretoria, Maxillofacial Radiology at the University of the Western Cape and in Laser Dentistry at the RWTH Aachen University in Germany.

He regularly attends courses locally and internationally, most recently attending the 2024 Take Away Solutions from Korea(TASK) at Megagen.

Passionate about dentistry he follows a comprehensive and modern approach to dental care and hopes to ensuring long-lasting predictable results.

When he is not working, he loves to spend time with his wife and their recently born baby daughter. His other interests are aviation, photography, outdooring and fly fishing.

Dr. Thembeka Buleni is the CEO/Founder of Smilez Dental Surgery. She completed a Bachelor of Dental Science Degree at the Medical University of South Africa (MEDUNSA) in 2007; she then studied Financial Management at Unisa. Later on, she attained a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) at Milpark Business school, where she passed her dissertation with a distinction. She also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Aesthetic Dentistry from the University of Pretoria.

Currently, she is running the practice at Emalahleni. She's an astute business coach and mentor, an international conference speaker on Aesthetic Dentistry, practice management, business management, and life coaching. She has made guest appearances on various media platforms including Emalahleni Fm, and Vraak My Mooi Tv Show. She is a member of several boards; the South African Dental Association (SADA) as a national councilor, the Dentistry Dental Forum (DDF) board member, the treasurer for the South African Dental Association (SADA) Mpumalanga branch, a member of South African Aesthetic Association dentistry (SAAAD). She has been a guest dentist on the local reality television show, Wraak Myy Mooi (DSTV 147) a cosmetic makeover show, improving the dental appearance and smiles of chosen candidates. She has been a Health Excellence Awards nominee - 2019 and she hosts her own oral health awareness YouTube Channel. (Dr. TCN Buleni).



Dr. Buleni is a mother of beautiful twin girls. She is extremely passionate about dentistry. She finds fulfillment when enhancing people's smiles and seeing them happy with the results.

I graduated with a BChD from the University of the Western Cape in 2010 and completed my community service in Potchefstroom. Following that, I settled in Gauteng, where I worked in private practice for almost a decade. In November 2020, I began specializing in Periodontology and Oral Medicine back in the Western Cape. My research focused on exploring the connection between periodontitis and anaemia of chronic disease. Additionally, I have a keen interest in implantology, periodontal regenerative surgery, and the diagnostic complexities within oral medicine
I started my new private practice journey in November 2024 by teaming up with Dr Pieter Wolfaardt.
On a personal note, my wife and I are the proud parents of two spirited young boys, ages 5 and 3, who keep us on our toes and fill our days with endless joy.

Dr Dirk Herbst qualified as Specialist Prosthodontist MChD, Cum laude at the University of Pretoria and College of Medicine SA FCD (SA) in 1996.

He received Academic Honours Colours Award from the University of Pretoria as well as Fellowship of the College of Dentistry of SA.

He is in Private Practice Brooklyn Pretoria since 1997 for 28 years.

He also held the position of Senior Specialist at the Faculty of Dentistry, University of Pretoria from 1997 till 2021 for 24 years.

He was Senior Specialist and Coordinator for the MChD post graduate programme and clinical training. He also act as consultant in fixed and removable Prosthodontics, Endodontics, Implantology and TMJ Disorders.

He was Study leader for Post Graduate Research Projects and dissertations.

He was also Examinator for pre and post Graduate Students.

Dr Herbst has published in the field of Prosthodontics in both National and International Dental Journals since 1993.

He has lectured on several courses and Congresses since 1997.

Currently, Dr Herbst acts as External Examiner at the University of Pretoria, University of Witwatersrand and University of Western Cape.

He is also appointed as Examiner for the College of Dentistry of SA.

Dr Herbst’s main interest is a holistic approach to occlusal prosthodontic reconstructions and implantology.

Dr Helét Polson is a private practitioner with a special interest in Paediatric Dentistry. She is the principal dentist at TinySmile Dentistry, a dental practice in Pretoria that provides oral health care for children. She received her Bachelor of Dentistry from the University of Pretoria in 2006 and completed her post graduate Diploma in Paedodontics at the University of Pretoria in 2019.

She is passionate about creating and preserving happy tiny smiles.
