#Be proud of your mouth

Mrs Elna van der Ham (19:05-20:00)

Health and disease risks should be considered in the context of the entire human lifespan, withcomprehensive oral care (COC) maintaining a continuum from birth to death.

We will discuss each stage of life and its challenges to establishing oral hygiene habits and protocols that can and will lead to oral health, which directly influences systemic health.

We hope to explore the various tools and systems that can aid us and our patients in achieving excellent oral health.

  • Rohini Bisaal

    Rohini Bisaal

Dr Rohini Bisaal is a qualified Dentist, who graduated from the University of the Western Cape in 2017. She was also a part of the Golden Key society during her academic career. She is in her 5th year of Private Practice in Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. With a great passion and keen interest in Dentistry as a whole, she is a general dentist offering treatments ranging from general dentistry to clear braces, smile makeovers, and teeth whitening.

Community is a huge part of her life which she builds using her social media presence, therefore, engaging with and providing necessary dental information on her dental page and working with brands in general on her personal page. She balances her professional life as a dentist and a part-time model/influencer to not only break the barriers of having multiple careers but still thrive in everything she is involved in. She believes strongly in encouraging the youth of today, especially females, to always aspire towards their dreams regardless of what society may deem correct. Aside from her personal pursuits, she is keen on working with the Young Dental Council to reach out to dentists under the age of 35 years, and share knowledge, and help with overall guidance and development.

At a personal level, she has a history in pageantry (Miss India SA – first princess 2016, Miss UniWorld Brand Ambassador 2018), international modelling, and dancing, shot for the cover of the GetIT magazine in the North Coast 2020 and has featured in many television and radio interviews. When she is not actively working on her career, she loves spending quality time with family, reading, listening to podcasts, and going on adventures.
